Welcome to the Summer 2013 KICKS2 Physics Institute hosted at Millard West Senior High.
Our particular KICKS2 institute will focus on traditional to modern physics topics and problem solving which support and go far beyond the Nebraska state physical science standards. A college physics text book will be used as a reference, but not a guide, for our instruction. We will explore through an inquiry-based, technology-rich, hands-on approach all typical traditional topics including vectors, forces and motion, momentum, mechanical energy, heat, nuclear, electricity, magnetism, and wave behavior (mechanical, sound, and light). The KICKS2 Physics Institute will be presented at a college-prep/AP® Physics level using an algebra/trigonometry mathematical base.
